Randy the Emu

Normally I would include emus in the animal section of the Blog, however Randy the Emu is a unique individual. As we entered the Ballarat Wildlife Park, Randy the Emu greeted us. He followed us around and then demonstrated his fertilising skills on the foot path. He continued following us around, acting as our unofficial tour guide.

It seemed when we entered some of the building randy would be there waiting for us. The highlight of the Randy escapade, when Snooziebear was kneeling down feeding the Red Kangaroos when Randy leaned oveer and began to breath on her neck. She seemed to be enjoying it (she claims she thought it was me). She turned her head and when she was face to face with Randy, she jumped up and squeeled and ran to me. There is no truth to the rumour that she also fertilised the area.

As we left the park, Randy reached over and stole the bag of animal food from me..and as the song says, he can run the pants off a kangaroo.

Randy, you will never be forgotten.
